What You Need To Know About Health Insurance

Health insurance for women seems to be a matter. Well, this may seem a little unbelievable especially in this era when so much talk about gender equality. But in reality, studies show a completely different scenario in the U.S. In most cases, they are not insured or are kept under insured. It seems that protection at home and work efficiency are the main issues that work against them.

According to reports by the Kaiser Family Foundation, more shocking news was found as well. The KFF report states clearly that women are less likely to be eligible for health program offered by employers. The main reason behind this is that women often employ themselves as part-time workers. Thereafter, they receive a smaller amount of salary. Naturally, they rely more on spousal coverage.

Statistics also shows that same image. Here, men are 51% by women in terms of health plans of employers’ group insurance. In this regard, the rate of women under these schemes is only 38%. Thus, the report states clearly that women are in a susceptible state. They are certainly difficulties in the case of their companies to reduce the provision of a contribution or premium increases.

However, women are involved in different types of PHI. But the coverage here is not stable or safe. In fact, according to statistics, 10% of women working in full-time jobs have no health insurance. In addition, they face different problems relating to bonuses and benefits.
